This is a set of six Saarinen Tulip Armless Side Chairs, originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1957. These examples date to the 1960s. They each retain their original Knoll labels under their seats. Their design features a sculpted tulip-like base that is composed of powder-coated cast aluminum, and their shells are formed of molded fiberglass. They have upholstered cushions in blue fabric.
The listed price includes all six chairs to be sold together as a set.
Each chair measures 21.25 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 32 inches high. They have a seat height of 18.5 inches. These pieces do show wear from previous use including light stains on the fabric cushions as well as minor scuffs and scratches on the frames. Overall, they are in very good vintage condition.
