  • Vintage Juice Glasses, Swanky Swigs, Hazel Atlas, Kiddie Kup, Squirrel & Deer, Brown Enamel, Vintage Collectibles, Kids Drinkware, Drinkware, Vintage for Children, Animal Drinking Glasses, Kitchen Decor, (Discontinued)
  • Vintage:  1956 - 1960's
  • Details:  Adorable!  This little Swanky Swigs juice glass is just that, adorable!  It is part of the Kiddie Kup collection from Hazel Atlas.  These came in 7 different colors, this one is brown with large squirrels and deer, plus a band with other tiny white animals across the top.  Made popular by Kraft Foods during the Great Depression, by selling their cheese spread, and later jelly's, in reusable drinking glasses, a practice that continued for many years.  We recommend hand washing to protect the design.  We also carry other colors /animals glasses, since we don't have a complete set, we are selling them separately, select as needed to complete your set.  Perfect for your morning juice or small dessert glasses, or simply as collectibles.
  • Material:  Glass
  • Dimensions:   Approx. 3.75 inches Tall  and 2.25 inches in Diameter (top opening). Holds 4 oz.
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent Vintage Condition.  The designs are in excellent condition.  We noticed a couple of scratches towards to top, most likely caused by the original lids used to secure the food item.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.

The Hazel Atlas Corporation was founded in 1885 Wellsburg, WV, by Charles N. Brady and C.H. Tallman.  The name "Hazel" was suggested by someone in their family, because they thought it had a nice sound. Originally producing only glass inserts used in zinc lids needed for canning jar closures, they grew into the largest glass-container manufacturer in the world.  They moved to Washington, PA, eventually expanding to:  Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Alabama, California, New York, Baltimore, Chicago, Philadelphia, Rochester, Cleveland and San Francisco.  They enjoyed a rich history, with many ups and downs.  In 1956 they were acquired by the Continental Can Company.  At the time, Hazel Atlas was the third largest glass container manufacturer in the United States, unfortunately this move lead to their demise.  It is said that bad leadership, greed and anti-trust issues contributed to their problems.  Continental Can Company sold Hazel Atlas Glass to Brockway Glass in 1965. The Wheeling WV building was donated to the West Liberty State College in 1966.
